Introduction
The Pharmacogenomic Research Center for Drug Metabolism (PRCDM) is a major partnership of the Korean Pharmacogenomics Research Network (KPRN), which is supported by Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The Center is dedicated to constructing a pharmacogenomics database of drug metabolizing enzymes and applying the knowledge and the techniques to pharmaceutical practices.
Our research ranges from the molecular level to clinical application through the studies of genetic polymorphisms of drug metabolism, functional genetics, high-throughput analysis of drug metabolism, association between genotype and phenotype, schematic clinical trials, informatics data management, predictive pharmacokinetics, etc.
Our interest also extends to the pharmacogenomic studies for other Asian populations besides Koreans. To achieve our goals, we maintain interdisciplinary programs to bridge different research activities, excellent research environments, and many research staffs with various research backgrounds.
The center also has good partnership of collaboration with several major research institutes throughout the world.
