Before the launch of the ANPR, two universities, Inje University College of Medicine and Central South University,
have exchanged PGx research data and information annually since 2005. This research collaboration and mutual trust have led to the necessity of extended global networking and integrated research for personalized medicine in Asia. Therefore, the joint conference between Korea and China fundamentally gave rise to the birth of ANPR. Eventually, the ANPR initiation meeting was successfully held in Inje University College of Medicine on April 13, 2008.
