On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we graciously invite you to participate in the 2008 International Conference on Pharmacogenomics: A Step toward Personalized Medicine, which will be held from April 9-12, 2008 at the BEXCO Center in Busan, Korea.

    Pharmacogenomics is one of the most active fields of biomedical science worldwide. Since this research area is expected to be a core principle of drug discovery /development and personalized pharmacotherapy in the 21st century, it is not surprising that pharmaceutical industries as well as government of the leading drug R&D countries are highly interesting to the development of this rising biomedical science.

    The conference will focus on diverse areas including biochemistry and physiology of drug action; genetics and environmental factors which influence uptake and metabolism; personalizing medicine; management of adverse drug reaction; ethical, legal, regulatory and social consequences of genetics applied to medicine.

    The aim of this conference is to bring together senior and junior investigator, postdoctoral and postgraduate researcher, medical, regulatory and ethical expert in a range of disciplines to share existing research, experiences and ideas on the pharmacogenomics. The conference will also provide a good opportunity to explore potential collaborations for personalized medicine.
